STAGE 1

Social Go-Getter

Milestones 1 - 5


MILESTONE 1

You have cast a BIG vision for your life and business that aligns with your soul’s purpose.


To meet this milestone, you must complete all action items listed below:


  • Listen to the Mindset Session 'Your Language About Yourself And Your Business'.

  • Watch or listen to the 'Life By Design Masterclass'.

  • Download the 'Future Scripting' resource and use the space provided to "future script" (journal) your life.




  • MILESTONE 2

    You can clearly and succinctly articulate your deep WHY for your business.


    To meet this milestone, you must complete all action items listed below:


  • Download the 'Understanding Your Deep Why' resource and get clear on your "why". Your "why" will become your core message for your marketing, and it will play a huge role in the content that you create.

  • Draw your golden circle (in the resource above) and share it into the Member's Facebook Group using the hashtag #goldencircle.




  • MILESTONE 3

    You can describe your soulmate customer/client in great detail.


    To meet this milestone, you must complete all action items listed below:


  • Watch 'Identifying and Understanding Your Soulmate Customer/Client'.

  • Complete the 'Understanding Your Customer Avatar' resource. Your Customer Avatar is the person that your marketing is speaking to. Submit your Avatar Description in the Member's Facebook Group using the hashtag #AvatarProfile.




  • MILESTONE 4

    You have defined your brand message, voice and visuals.


    To meet this milestone, you must complete all action items listed below:


  • Watch 'Crafting Your Unique Brand Identity Masterclass with Expert Jen Bowers'.




  • MILESTONE 5

    You have an IG Business (or Creator) Profile, and your bio is set up to attract your soulmate client & build your business.

    To meet this milestone, you must complete all action items listed below:


  • Take a screenshot of what your Instagram account looks like RIGHT NOW (this is your ‘before’ photo). You’ll want this because as you go further along in your Instagram marketing journey, it’s pretty darn awesome to see all of your progress over a long period of time.

  • Make sure you are on Instagram as a Business Profile (or a Creator Profile if you’re an influencer).

  • Watch 'Set Up For Success - Make Your Corner of the Gram Standout' and download the accompanying resource. Complete the 'Bio self-assessment' in the resource. Now that your Instagram profile and bio is set up for success, take a screenshot and share it in the Member's Facebook Group using the hashtag #InstagramBio.

  • If you sell physical products, set yourself up for Instagram Shopping (this allows you to add product tags to your images and Stories where people can purchase from directly. Here are the steps, and here are the eligibility requirements.

  • STAGE 2

    Social Story-Teller

    Milestones 6 - 9


    MILESTONE 6

    You’ve introduced yourself to your audience as the face of your brand on Instagram.


    To meet this milestone, you must complete all action items listed below:


  • Listen to the mindset session 'Staying In Your Own Lane on Instagram'.

  • Watch 'How To Post on Instagram' and in the next week do the following posts using our fill-in-the-blank caption templates:
    • 1) Introduce yourself to your audience as the face behind the brand using 'Caption 3' from our '25 Done-For-You Captions' resource.

      3) Share an inspirational story, thought or quote that speaks to your audience OR do a post on Instagram that shares your WHY with your audience using 'Caption 16' from our '25 Done-For-You Instagram Captions' resource.




    MILESTONE 7

    You have 1 - 5 Content Pillars.


    To meet this milestone, you must complete all action items listed below:


  • Watch the training on 'Content Pillars'.

  • Identify 3 content pillars for your brand.

  • Post in the Member's Facebook Group sharing your content pillars.




  • MILESTONE 8

    You post a minimum of 3 times per week (can be Reels, posts or carousels).


    To meet this milestone, you must complete all action items listed below:


  • Complete the 'Instagram Photography' training. Take some photos using the techniques demonstrated. Select ONE photo to share as an Instagram post and use one of our '25 Done-For-You Instagram Captions'.

  • Print out this month’s 'Instagram Strategy Calendar' and start taking the daily actions (your goal is to do the posts - Stories, Lives, and Reels are optional at this Stage).

  • Now it’s time to improve your caption writing and also get you hooked up with AWESOME images to post. Woo hoo! Enjoy! Access to the '25 Done-For-You Instagram Captions' and '60 Styled Stock Photographs' resources.




  • MILESTONE 9

    You have a core content platform (a blog, podcast, IG Reels, YouTube channel, etc), and you're publishing content at least once a month.


    To meet this milestone, you must complete all action items listed below:


  • Decide on whether you’ll start a blog, podcast or vlog where you will publish core content. Decide on the frequency of when you'll publish content. Don't worry if at first you only publish monthly. You can gradually get to weekly (if you choose).

  • Watch the 'Growing Your Business With Core Content' training.

  • Start publishing core content and drive your Instagram traffic there by taking snippets of your core content and repurposing them as captions.

  • STAGE 3

    Social Strategist

    Milestones 10 - 13


    MILESTONE 10

    You are sharing intentional Instagram Stories 3-7 days a week.


    To meet this milestone, you must complete all action items listed below:


  • Watch the lesson 'Instagram Stories Strategy with Instagram Stories Weekly Planner' and create your 7 day Instagram Stories Content Plan. Post your plan inside our Member's Facebook Group so that we can see you’ve done this homework.

  • Create sets of Hero Highlights (About Me/Us, FAQs, Blog/Podcast, Shop/Programs, Testimonials/Reviews, Behind The Scenes). You may wish to design your own custom branded Highlights covers or use our 'Instagram Highlights' covers. To create Highlights you need to publish a set of Stories first and then add them to your Highlights.

  • You are now ready to start actioning our IG Stories prompts on our 'Monthly Instagram Strategy Calendar', in addition to posts.




  • MILESTONE 11

    You are able to create Reels and share at least one per week.


    To meet this milestone, you must complete all action items listed below:


  • Complete the 'Five Days Of Reels Challenge'.

  • Begin actioning Reels prompts on our 'Monthly Instagram Content Strategy Calendar', in addition to Stories and Posts.

  • Track your performance by downloading 'Your Instagram Performance Blueprint: Stories & Reels Metrics for Success'.




  • MILESTONE 12

    You use hashtags and Instagram Insights to grow your audience and boost engagement.


    To meet this milestone, you must complete all action items listed below:


  • Watch 'Hashtag Fundamentals' and list 30 hashtags that will put you in front of your audience.

  • Watch 'Instagram Insights Made Easy'.

  • If you’ve already done more than 60 posts on Instagram, follow these steps to uncover your top performing posts:
    • 1. Select menu on your IG profile.
      2. Select Insights.
      3. Select 'Posts' under 'Content You Shared'.
      4. Select 'See All' under 'Feed Posts'.
      5. Filter your results using the drop down menu by selecting ‘likes’.
      Now Analyse for trends in your content - What are the top 3-5 types of content that your audience is most responsive to? Visually - Is it photos of yourself? Family photos? Product shots of a particular kind? Landscape scenes? Text graphics or memes? Video? Write any observations down. You need to start doing these types of posts with greater consistency. When it comes to the captions of these posts, are there themes or commonalities in the topics or structure? Pay attention to the captions that performed best. Do more of these.
  • Watch 'Uncovering Your IG Content Strategy'. In this training Tracy goes through her TEACH, SHARE, SHOW framework for creating Instagram content around your brand’s content pillars. She also shares how to drive traffic to your website through these styles of posts. Brainstorm a list of what you could TEACH, SHARE, SHOW in future content. Share a photo of your list in the Member's Facebook Group.




  • MILESTONE 13

    You have decided whether or not to create a Facebook Group for your business.


    To meet this milestone, you must complete all action items listed below:


  • Watch the 'Facebook Groups Q&A'.

  • Start a free Facebook Group (if including one in your digital strategy) and invite your IG audience to join.

  • Watch the 'Facebook Group Mini Course with Rachel Miller'.

  • STAGE 4

    Social Authority

    Milestones 14 - 18


    MILESTONE 14

    You are using IG Live more than once a month.


    To meet this milestone, you must complete all action items listed below:


  • Watch 'Q&A With Tracy - Embracing The Power Of Video On Insta'.

  • Go Live on Instagram. Use the 'Action Challenge - Instagram Live' resource to plan and execute your Instagram Live.




  • MILESTONE 15

    You have 500 people on your email list as a result of Instagram marketing.


    To meet this milestone, you must complete all action items listed below:


  • Spend some time researching ConvertKit, MailChimp, Klaviyo and Active Campaign. Decide which platform you're going to go with and set yourself up with email marketing so that you can start collecting email addresses via a banner, pop up or opt-in box on your website or even a landing page. Not sure which platform is right for you? Come ask your peers in our Member's Facebook Group.

  • Create a ‘thank you page’ once they’ve subscribed.
    • Note: As proud users and supporters of ConvertKit in our own business, we are thrilled to be affiliate partners with them. We also use ActiveCampaign, you can sign up through this link.

  • Select one basic opt-in lead magnet idea from the 'Opt-in Cheat Sheet' and create your freebie. E-commerce businesses may choose to give a free coupon, a % off voucher, or simply say that subscribers get VIP offers. Share your lead magnet in the Member's Facebook Group. Feel free to ask for feedback from your peers. Use the hashtag #Stage4ListBuilding.

  • You have a simple email Welcome Sequence automated.

  • Watch the masterclass on 'List Building and Sales Boosting Instagram Stories Strategies'.

  • Share your opt-in as a regular CTA for your Instagram content and edit your bio to mention your opt-in so that you’re optimised for list-building.




  • MILESTONE 16

    You are collaborating with others on Instagram.


    To meet this milestone, you must complete all action items listed below:


  • Download and read the 'IG Stories Takeover Playbook'. Come into the Member's Facebook Group and find a partner/s to do a Takeover with.

  • Host an Instagram giveaway (we recommend the resource 'How To Host a Tag Giveaway').

  • Download 'The Ultimate Guide To Brand Reps 101' resource.





  • *NEW* MILESTONE 17

    You have at least ONE consistently converting list-building Instagram Stories Funnel that you have saved to be a Highlight on your profile.

  • Use CTA’s that encourage followers to DM you for special offers, to grab your freebie or Opt-in etc.

    You have at least ONE consistently converting Instagram Reels Funnel that sells for you.

  • Watch 'Q&A Tech Talk With Karl' to learn about email segmentation of your audience, email service providers, and the importance of email sequences.




  • MILESTONE 22

    You have a high converting website and/or sales page.


    To meet this milestone, you must complete all action items listed below:


  • If you sell digital products, a service or coaching - watch the 'Anatomy Of An Offer Page' training.

  • If you own an online store, watch 'High Converting E-Commerce Websites with Tessa Hartnett' and 'Creating a Growth Plan with Susan Bradley', then answer the questions at the end of this masterclass.

  • Watch the 'Mapping Out Your Money with Fiona Killackey training. Pay particular attention to the buyer's cycle. On a blank piece of paper, or however you work best, map out your own customer journey or buyer's cycle.

  • STAGE 6

    Social Scaler

    Milestones 23 - 27


    MILESTONE 23

    You have a unique Instagram marketing strategy that is intentional for your audience and your business goals.


    To meet this milestone, you must complete all action items listed below:


  • Check out 'How I Plan 1 Year of Content in 4 Hours'.

  • Create your own annual content plan.

  • Monitor your Instagram insights each quarter.




  • MILESTONE 24

    You are scaling your offers.


    To meet this milestone, you must complete all action items listed below:

  • Watch 'Influencer Marketing with Alice Bingham' and decide if influencer marketing is something you want to do with your business.




  • MILESTONE 25

    You have debriefed and unpacked your last launch/campaign and you use data from your previous launch to adjust your offer for further success - relaunching the same offer.


    To meet this milestone, you must complete all action items listed below:


  • Download and complete the 'Instagram Launch Debrief' after your latest launch campaign. Submit your debrief in the Member's Facebook Group using the hashtags #win and #launchdebrief




  • MILESTONE 26

    You have outsourced at least one element of your business.


    To meet this milestone, you must complete all action items listed below:


  • Watch 'How to Build a Self-Managed Team - So you can grow your biz without sacrificing time!'.

  • Watch 'Interviewing and Onboarding Your First VA with Kristy-Lee Billett'.

  • Draw a line down a piece of paper and brainstorm all of the tasks you do in your business and colour code/highlight the ones that truly have to be done by you. From the ones that are remaining, see if you can eliminate them, automate them, or delegate them.

  • From the delegation list, write a role description for either a Contractor or Employee and put out the call using our PDF Fast Pass Guide 'Hiring Your VA'. Look on upwork.com and onlinejobs.ph. We also have so many amazing VAs with various types of expertise within the Social Method Society. Should you wish to put a post up in the Member's Facebook Group, you're more than welcome to do so.




  • MILESTONE 27

    You have set challenging goals and a 90 day plan.


    To meet this milestone, you must complete all action items listed below:


  • Watch 'Your Best Year Yet'.

  • Listen to 'Your Relationship With Money Mindset Session'.

  • Set clear annual goals for your business.

  • You set intentional 90-Day revenue goals around launches/campaigns/offers that will be your main revenue generating activity. Journal what would you launch in the next 90 days if you had 100x the confidence? Then, do it!
